Review: Vichy Normaderm’s Day and Night Moisturisers

Of late, my face has been a mine field and has caused me a lot of stress. On second thought, maybe it’s the STRESS that’s causing all these eruptions! >.
Anyway, with the boyfriend to the rescue again (yes at this rate I foresee he’s got a bright future in cosmetics) he rushed out to get me some Vichy products as it’s a brand one of my Japanese friends swear by! I was more than apprehensive about using these products at first…. Let me show you what I mean:
Taken from the Day Moisturiser’s box, this contains THREE active ingredients: Salicylic acid, Glycolic acid and LHA and I went
‘uhm I’m not sure if my skin will like these products! What if it makes my skin condition worse?’

Furthermore, my skin’s not very oily and this moisturiser seems to be all about banishing oiliness which make me take many, many steps back.
After much contemplation, I decided to take the plunge and give the moisturisers a go, only on the parts of my face where the breakouts are at their worst eg. Right cheek (yah I know super random I think it’s my pillow case) and mouth area (because I am a glutton)
You have seen what the Day Moisturiser is supposed to do, now what does the Night moisturiser do?
Even more intimidating than the Day Moisturiser, this has ‘Skin-Permeating Technology’ where your pore dimensions will appear transformed and ‘almost invisible’, only after 4 weeks. I say, this is a LIE as my pores are far from being invisible but this really helped soothe my skin and the pimple growth has come to a standstill (for good I hope!)
As you can see from the first photo, the Day moisturiser comes in a pump bottle whereas the Night moisturiser comes in tube form. The Day moisturiser’s texture is more watery while the Night moisturiser is thick but absorbs into the skin easily!
Much to my surprise, these moisturisers didn’t dry my skin out but it left my skin soft, smooth and even lightened a stubborn acne scar of mine!
Before I forget, here’s the ingredient list for the Day Moisturiser,
Not forgetting the Night Moisturiser:
I am not sure what prolonged usage of these moisturisers will do to one’s skin as I am not keen on slapping on ‘peeling agents’ (however mild) onto my face everyday. However, this worked really well when I had a bad breakout and I’m glad I found this product before my skin got any worse.
